Staten Islander, Anthony Parisi, owner of EMPIRE Bedding & Furniture originally started with his father at Sleep City in New Dorp and before that in the early 70's at Victory Dinettes in Tompkinsville. When coming to Port Richmond in 1991, it was a "ghost town". Constantly putting money into promoting their business, EMPIRE Bedding & Furniture are the reason Port Richmond is the furniture capitol of Staten Island today.
